Larry’s Reading List

The following are 23 books, among many others, that have most influenced my thinking over the last 20 years. Many have been mind-shaping more recently. Just a few comments:

Moltmann is a chewy read, but worth the effort. God slow.
Becker, The Denial of Death, is also a hard read. It’s a secular book that helps me realize how radically Christianity changes our view of life.
I found George MacDonald’s the Curate’s Awakening (a first class novel) of a young Anglican pastor moving from dry spirituality to aliveness in Christ.

Pick and choose. They’ve all been, and continue to be important to whatever bit of wisdom the Lord has allowed me to clean.

Enjoy profitable reading!
